10 Feb 11 - I survived day 1!

Well, yesterday went well, my first day on the WW Pro Points plan.  I was very good, measured everything and resisted temptations!  I measured my rice for dinner and thought "Is that all I get?", it looked a pathetic amount but as it turned out, it was enough. I felt satisfied after so it just goes to show how much I've been stuffing myself before.  I actually struggled to eat all my daily allowance of PP, something that was emphasised at the meeting was that all dailies MUST be eaten but at the moment I'm on 44 a day so actually seem to be eating more then I did previously - it's just that what I'm eating is healthier now!  Fingers crossed it works!

I also made some delicious butternut squash soup last night and it's zero pp!  I chopped up a huge BNS (with skin left on), and a large red onion and roasted them with loads of garlic (crushed but with skins still on).  I also threw in some fresh thyme and salt and pepper.  Once soft, I squeezed the garlic out of their skins and then whizzed everything up.  I then added some veg stock to loosen it a bit but it's made a lovely thick soup.  And so tasty, I can't wait for lunch today!  I'm off to the gym at lunch so will really appreciate my soup after!

I took my measurements today.  Lots of people said this was a good way to keep track of changes.  Particularly if I have a small or (god forbid) no loss on the scales, I may well loose inches so it's a good motivator.

I've got a bottle of pink bubbly to have on Monday night, not only is it valentines day but it will also be 8 years since I met my hubby!  I've worked the bottle out to be 20pp - well worth it! Not sure what we'll be eating but the important part's sorted at least!
